Message from Revd Philip Goggin Information

North window The stained glass window in the north side of the chancel is in memory of Peter Malcolm Riley and was donated by his mother. It originally came from a Congregational church in Cheadle, Cheshire, and was installed in St Peter's Church in 1974. It depicts Jesus welcoming children.
v
Millennium Window The small window set high above the chancel step was given by Celia Mackle to symbolise the Christian significance of the Millennium. It shows a simple Cross on the Star of David.
v
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened", says Jesus in Luke chapter 11

ENQUIRIES FOR BAPTISMS AND WEDDINGS Please contact Jenny Powell, church warden.
v
CHURCH MAGAZINE The monthly magazine is an excellent way for church members to keep in touch with their local church. If you live in the parish it can be delivered, or you can collect it from the church each month. It is great value at only 30p per issue (£3.60 subscription per year ). If you have any interesting articles for the magazine, or would like to advertise in it please contact the editors.
v
ST PETER'S CHURCH BOOKLET St Peter's Church Booklet is a brief guide to the church containing many coloured photographs. Available free in church. Donations towards the cost of printing gratefully received.
v
Receiving Holy Communion at St Peter's You are welcome to receive Communion if you do in your usual place of worship. Some people prefer, especially when they have colds, to receive communion by what is called intinction. You receive the bread into your hand, but do not consume it. When the chalice is brought to you, dip the wafer in the wine and receive both kinds together. If you are not confirmed you may come to the communion rail to receive a blessing. Simply come and kneel, keeping your head bowed so that the priest knows you do not wish to receive the sacrament.
v
Confirmation Classes If you, or you know of anyone who wishes to be confirmed please have a word with Revd Philip Goggin or Jenny.
v
Gift Aid Envelopes It is a help to us if (assuming you are a taxpayer) you complete one of the brown gift aid envelopes you find in the pews and place your offering in it. We can claim from Inland Revenue the tax paid on your gift - at no cost to yourself. Thank you.
v
Electoral Roll If you wish to be on the electoral roll of St Peter's church please contact the warden.
v
BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE If you would like the name of a loved one entered into the book, please contact the warden.
