Spring Fair and Coffee Morning


at Nantwich Parish Hall

 

It was busy on the day.  We made £760.

 

Ted won the fruit basket and Willie Crawford won the assorted tea.

 

 Thank you to everyone who helped and supported this event, especially Mike Steele who gave us the plants again.

Coffee Morning

 

The Sunday School held a tombola to help raise money for their chosen charity - 2009 South and East Cheshire Special Olympics Team.

 

We made £14.80.  Thank you for your support.

St Nicholas

St Nicholas visited us at the 10.45 am Family Service, on the 7th December 2008.

He brought some 'special biscuits' for our 'good' girls and boys!  He also collect your generously donated presents, to send to a less fortunate child.

There were Refreshments and Tombola in the hall after the service (£71 raised for church funds.  Thank you Gail for the Tombola ..... and congratulations on selling all the prizes!).

The Sunday school sold beautiful
Handmade Cards
to help raise money for the South and East Cheshire Special Olympics Team 2009.

Harvest Festival


Friday 26 - Sunday 28 September 2008

The church was beautifully decorated with Harvest gifts.  Thank you to Audrey and her team for the wonderful display,  and thank you to all those who brought the lovely gifts.  Most of these will be taken to St Paul's, Salford.

Tea, coffee and cakes were served after the service.

Duck Race at Macon Meadows, Crewe

Sunday 21 September 2008 2.30 pm

 

It was a lovely sunny day for the race, unfortunately the stream was blocked lower down and so the race was only half the usual length.

 

£267 was raised.  Thank you to everyone who supported this event

Christian Aid Tea Party

In the Vicarage

Thank you Philip and Gail for your hospitality, and thanks also to all who supported it. The event was well attended, and enjoyed by all.

There were lots of lovely cakes, a tombola and a raffle.  This raise £255.80 for Christian Aid.

The Barbecue raised £318 and the Nantwich Coffee Morning also raised £318 for church funds.  A big thank you to all those who helped in any way to make these events a success.

Another "Children's Curiosity Event".  Again we were lucky with the weather and spent an enjoyable morning in the countryside.  A BIG THANK YOU to Paul Griffiths and Elizabeth Hollinshead from the Nantwich Natural History Society, for their help in identifying the wild life and for making it such an interesting morning.

Roman Road Project

One of our "Children's Curiosity Events" held during the summer holidays.  The children enjoyed digging in the mud to reveal the Roman Road.

A big thank you to all those who helped make this event possible.  The morning was very interesting, great fun and very muddy!
